IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot's Watch Edition "Las Vegas"

In 2002, IWC launched the Big Pilot’s Watch Ref. 5002. Its dial in the style of an easy-to-read cockpit instrument and the distinctive conical crown are inspired by a functional observation watch from the pioneering days of flying. Over the years, not least thanks to an enormous variety of special editions, the Big Pilot's Watch has evolved into a modern design icon whose appeal extends far beyond the watch industry. With the Big Pilot's Watch Edition "Las Vegas", IWC is now adding another chapter to this success story. Limited to 250 pieces, this special edition features a stainless-steel case, and a silver-plated dial with black numerals and hands. As a tribute to one of the most popular and famous games of chance in Las Vegas, a roulette wheel is engraved on the case back. Another beautiful detail is the date display at 6 o'clock: as in roulette, red and black numbers alternate, while at the start of each month, the number 1 will appear in green in the date window. Inside the 46-millimetre stainless steel case, the IWC-manufactured caliber 52110 is at work. This highly precise and robust automatic movement features a Pellaton winding system reinforced with ceramic components that builds up a power reserve of seven days in two barrels. The timepiece is also equipped with a soft-iron case for protection against magnetic fields.
